Obviously, we have tons of questions. But given that the Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to be leaning into a multiverse, (literally, Doctor Strange’s next movie is titled The Multiverse of Madness) the main question is: Is this Electro the same Electro from Andrew Garfield’s universe? After all, in the post-credit scene of Spider-Man: Far From Home, Jonah Jameson, e-tooled to be an Info-Wars type character, was revealed and was revealed to be J.K. Simmons himself. While audiences initially just thought it was a funny gag, that, plus the release of Spider-Man: Into The Spiderverse, in which Miles Morales becomes Spider-Man on Earth-1610 and then meets about a dozen other spider guys suggests that a much bigger game could be afoot. So, will Tom Holland meet other Peter Parkers, other Miles Morales’, and a Spider-Pig? Will Andrew Garfield reprise his role as Spider-Man in another universe to come to help out Spider-Man as Tom Holland? And if Electro made it across universes, how did he do it? Did the Infinity Stones actually open up a series of wormholes as Spider-Man: Far From Home’s Mysterio suggested, even though he was lying about his own origins? Is this some sort of nefarious plot to bring down Spider-Man? Guess we’ll have to wait to find out.
